Sony's Thomas Hesse: What users don't know can't hurt them

Thomas Hesse, President of Sony's Global Digital Business, has a new spin on technology ... that consumers shouldn't be concerned about things they don't understand. He has stated that people should not be concerned about the software they are installing without user's authorization, despite the software's ability to hide harmful programs. He still says this even though removing the player breaks the computer's hard drive. He also has said Sony does not gather information through the program, yet the program has been detected as sending information to Sony's servers.
